Health and Wellness for Black Seniors
This program focuses on improving the physical, mental, and spiritual health of Black seniors through
culturally responsive care, preventive health education, and access to healthcare services.
Key Activities:
- Offer culturally competent health screenings, fitness classes, and nutrition workshops.
- Provide mental health counseling and support groups to address issues like depression and
anxiety.
- Organize spiritual care programs, including meditation, yoga, and spiritual guidance for overall
well-being.
Target Population: Black seniors in Calgary, especially those facing health disparities or limited access to healthcare services.
